SpringFest at Sabine Creek Ranch is designed to be the very best music festival for bands, choirs, and orchestras in the Metroplex! Groups not only get to play inside an air-conditioned event center with great acoustics and wonderful adjudicators, but students will have a great day of fun in a camp-like atmosphere.
Top reasons you don’t want to miss SpringFest at Sabine Creek Ranch!
Sabine Creek Ranch is located just 30 minutes east of downtown Dallas off I-30 near Rockwall. Easy access from George Bush, I-30, and I-20 makes travel fast and easy from across the Metroplex and beyond!
Our air-conditioned, indoor event center is a perfect performance space for choirs, bands, and orchestras. Excellent acoustics and state-of-the-art media resources enhance the festival experience. Warm up areas are also inside and free of distractions. Delicious meals are served in the dining hall. Sabine Creek Ranch is a state licensed and inspected youth camp, and all staff are extensively trained and background checked.
Of course, having fun should be a big part of any end-of-school-year music festival! Sabine Creek Ranch hosts thousands of children and teens each year for camps, retreats, school field trips, and outdoor education. We are experts in safe, fun activities for groups of all sizes. We entertain groups of 1,500 guests with customized, age-appropriate activities, including our Screamer Swing, Climbing Wall, Zip Line, Paddle boats, Hayrides, Animal exhibits, Sand Volleyball, Gaga Ball, Sport Court, Obstacle Courses, Inflatables and more! Most of all, we focus on students building great memories with friends and teachers!
SpringFest will allow your group to play for experienced adjudicators who bring the right balance of encouragement and suggestions for improvement. Groups will receive a rating and feedback as well as the opportunity to win prizes for their performance!
Our founder, Dr. Ed Walker, has over 30 years of experience as a writer, orchestrator, producer, and performer in a wide variety of musical styles. He has played keyboards and conducted for choirs, orchestras, and bands for recordings and live performances. Ed grew up as a multi-instrumentalist, playing bluegrass, gospel, and country music with his family. After graduating from the Duncanville High School band program and being voted “Most Talented” in his senior class, Ed joined the jazz band at Stephen F. Austin State University and began honing his writing, orchestration, and recording skills. After college he traveled full-time as a musician before joining Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall as a worship leader. He earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership and is a professor in the Cook School of Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. Though he has led music for all ages, he has encouraged untold thousands of children and teenagers around the world to celebrate musically at camps, retreats, and other special events.
