John and Lauri Lea
Camp Administrator and Pastor
John and Lauri Lea are from the Rockwall area and planted Generations Church in 2009. For 11 years, they have participated in the ministry of Sabine Creek Ranch. In 2020, Generations Church was given the opportunity to purchase the beautiful property of Sabine. The Leas lead both Sabine Creek Ranch, camp and retreat center, and Generations Church in hopes of furthering the gospel. Lauri Lea is our camp administrator and Pastor John continues to lead Generations Church.
Tim Meister
Camp Director
Tim Meister joined the Sabine Creek team in 2022. He has experienced camps and retreats from almost every point of view: as a camper, an intern, staff, a speaker, and a student pastor who brings his own students to camp. Upon Graduating Christ For the Nations in 2006, Tim married his beautiful bride (Jenna) and began a journey that would bring 5 children and some 13 plus years in student ministry. As a student pastor, he knows the potential for camps and retreats to be a significant and defining landmark in anyone’s relationship with Christ.
Jose Arellano
Chef & Maint. Director
Jose Arellano joined the Sabine Creek team in 2005. Originally hired to build a kitchen, he volunteered to prepare dinner for a group staying at the Ranch after they evacuated New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina. That meal revealed his great talents as a chef! He now wears many hats at the camp, and is an integral part of the team! He and his wife, Irma, have three adult children and reside in Royse City.
Karen Cosby
Office Manager
Karen didn’t grow up in Texas, but, as the saying goes, she got here as fast as she could. She met her husband, Tom, in a church singles group and they have two grown sons. Karen came to Sabine Creek in 2016 and feels completely blessed to work with an incredible staff in an environment in which the goal is to share the love of Christ with everyone who visits. In her spare time, she loves to knit, work on home projects, and travel.
