I hope you enjoy this arrangement I just completed of “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear.”  As you may know, we are preparing for “Southern Lights” here at Sabine Creek Ranch on weekends this December.  It may seem a little strange to be getting in the Christmas spirit when it’s still 100 degrees outside, but there’s a lot to do to get ready!

As I sat down in my studio to record, I was troubled by the many terrible things happening in the world.  It often seems to spiral toward chaos, doesn’t it? As I began to play, though, my mind was drawn to the small phrase in this carol, “Peace on the earth, goodwill to men, From heaven’s all-gracious King!”  It’s a prayer many of you no doubt share, and perhaps we can all contribute to spreading that message in practical ways each day.
